Pardesi Babu is a 2015 Indian Hindi-language romantic drama film directed by Gopi Puthran and produced by Viacom 18 Motion Pictures. It stars Shahid Kapoor, debutant Yami Gautam, and Divya Dutta in lead roles. The film is about a man who falls in love with two different women, one he has just met, while already engaged to another girl. The movie's soundtrack was composed by Shantanu Moitra. Tulsi Kumar sang the song "Dum Maro Dum" which won the Filmfare Award for Best Song Critics Award for Best Lyricist for Tulsi Kumar and also nominated for Filmfare Award for Best Music Director. The film released on 26 March 2015 to mixed reviews.The soundtrack of the film is composed by Shantanu Moitra, with lyrics penned by Kausar Munir. The first song of the film "Dum Maro Dum" sung by Tulsi Kumar was released on 24 February 2015. Nikhat Kazmi of "The Times of India" rated the film 3 out of 5 stars stating, "What holds Pardesi Babu together is Shahid's performance where he essays two shades of his personality - one that is caring towards his family and society, and another that hides behind an impenetrable wall. He is the girl-next-door who, suddenly, cannot escape his age-old reputation as a family man". Shubhra Gupta of "The Indian Express" stated: "Pardesi Babu (Shahid) who has a problem with his two marriages and two wives (Yami Gautam and Divya Dutta), never mind the fact that he has not seen them for years; neither does he want to marry them.
